Allison Gabaldon: A Champion for Early Childhood, Transformational Leadership, and Empowering Voices
A proud native of New Mexico, Allison Gabaldon has dedicated 24 years to the field of Early Childhood Education, driven by a profound commitment to fostering growth and promoting the best in others. Allison's career began as an Early Interventionist and Home Visitor, serving families for a decade in both southern New Mexico and the vibrant California Bay Area. Her journey then led her to the Hayward Unified School District where she excelled first as a Special Education Preschool Teacher and subsequently as a Preschool Inclusion Specialist, championing equitable educational opportunities for all young learners.
Upon her return to New Mexico in 2016, Allison brought her wealth of experience back to her home state as well as to Albuquerque Public Schools. Where, she has held diverse and impactful roles, including Developmental Preschool Teacher, Five Star NM PreK Teacher, Transformational Principal, and currently, the Executive Director of Early Childhood. In this pivotal role, she continues to shape the foundational educational experiences for countless children.
Beyond her work in public education, Allison is the visionary founder of Dynamite Leader, an initiative reflecting her deep passion for positive and transformational leadership. Through Dynamite Leader, she actively empowers individuals, teaching them how to cultivate their strengths and shine no matter what position they hold.
Adding to her accomplishments, Allison is a contributing author to the recently published book, "She Grows Stronger: Women's Stories of Strength and Empowerment, Accompanied by Actionable Strategies on How to Thrive," which was released on March 3, 2025. Her contribution, "My God Is Stronger," shares a deeply personal narrative of resilience and faith, inspiring readers to find strength amidst life's challenges.
Allison is characterized by her unwavering focus on relationships in all aspects of her life believing they are the cornerstone of effective leadership and meaningful impact. She resides in the East Mountains of Albuquerque with her husband and their blended family of five children. When not immersed in her professional endeavors, Allison cherishes time at home with her family, actively participates in her church community, and finds joy in cooking. Her life's work and personal pursuits are testaments to her dedication to nurturing potential, both in early learners and in the leaders of tomorrow.
